I have been MIA because of my loss......

I have not been on the board in a while because of my recent loss. After two years of working on my truck I took it to her second ever car show in Daytona for the Turkey Rod Run. The show was awesome and I had nothing but positive comments on the truck.

Well long story short a gentlemen came by, saw the truck and loved it, made me a cash offer and I went home with out my truck..

Not to say that cash is not always good but I never had a chance to even enjoy all my work. I was actually depressed for about two weeks solid. Well I am now on the hunt for another project so when I find one I will keep everyone posted. Here are a few going away picture...

I saw your truck at the Rod Run! Very nice. Good luck on your search and then rebuild. I have a '66 LWB Fleet I bought last year with minimal rust. I'm getting ready to build my garage and then I'm going to tear into the truck. I know where there is a '64 with factory A/C I'm going to try and buy. If I don't, I'll let you know.

Was that the guy sitting in the box waiting for you to show up. Just kiddin'. It looked like an awesome truck and I'm sure its hard to pass up a cash offer that is worth while. Clean slate now and from the looks of things whatever you find and build will be killer as well.

Re: I have been MIA because of my loss......

Only thing I can say is that I would have offered you a rude amount of cash for that truck.

Sorry for your loss, but if I had bought it, clearly I would only be gloating at "my truck"

I trust the next one will be even better, if that's possible.

Think satin Air Force blue with a lady in the design......

Thought I would just leave these girls here for you.

Thanks guys... I keep thinking the same thing, I'm not sure what to build next time around.

bonacker ; let me know about that other truck. I went to go buy a 1952 the other day that was just north of Jacksonville but it was a "little more" rusty then I thought it was going to be....

There is a local guy that has been trying to build himself a 50s chevy truck and every time he gets close someone makes a cash offer on it and he just starts over. the good news is he is getting faster I guess haha.

This was always one of my fave builds.... too bad you had to let it go.

It was very inspirational, and I hope it went to a good home !!

....s-s-s-SOLD IT?!?
I loved seeing how you turned a rust bucket into a VERY cool truck! I can (sort of) understand how money talks. You did an awesome job, and I look forward to seeing another build of yours.

Congrats and condolences...

I know it may be too late to ask this, but do you have any pics of the tailgate (raised, please) and a close up of the bombs detail near the windshield
?

Re: I have been MIA because of my loss......

MOTOIMPAIRED, What are you looking for as I see these trucks in pastures all the time here in Texas. My wife said no more when I hit number 4..... Either way if you let me know I'll keep an eye out and stop when I see one that matches your criteria. Good thing about Tx is the trucks don't really get all that rusty.
