Re: LMC digital dash cluster????
thats interesting for us LS swap guys. I wonder if it has the ability to use the digital signals from our computer or just converts the stock signals to a digital read out.

Re: LMC digital dash cluster????
Looks like a knock-off from Dakota Digital. I'm using the DD VHX gauges. And yes, they work very well with LS engines (I have 3). I wouldn't use anything else for a LS conversion, it's just way easier.

Re: LMC digital dash cluster????
Just did research on it, it's NOT Dakota Digital, it's Taiwan / China stuff made for LMC. It will only work with the Old OEM sensors. engine SBC and uses some kind of adapter (Hall Effect or VSS) on the speedo cable output at the trans tail shaft.
After I almost had them in tears trying to get them to answer simple tech questions on the phone (FYI LMC states they have NO tech people on staff to talk to you at ALL) I decided Not to experiment with my $399.00. Granted, my situation is a little unique in that I have a 68 GMC with a 2005 GM 5.3 V8 and 4l60E automatic and wanted everything to actually work. I went with the "Known" commodity, Dakota Digital as they guaranteed everything will work in my application, PRICE $795.00 I have several friends with classic cars using Dakota Digital and they say Our Trucks 67-72 dash is a bargin as their Cars dashes ran about $1100.00 to $1500.00 My 2 Cents

Re: LMC digital dash cluster????
It's definitely not Dakota Digital. They are from an Ohio Based company called Intellitronix Corp. My guess is DD has cornered the market and these guys are trying to break into it. They have been providing digital gauges for a long time. I haven't heard anything negative as of yet. Has anyone had a negative experience with Intellitronix products? As far as looks, the Dakota Digital VHX gauges are amazing looking.

Re: LMC digital dash cluster????
yea I don't think lees 68gmc bothered to see the other post and what I found out.
I do agree LMC sucks at tech but the product is sound. I bought one and sent it to intellitronix because I am running a 5.3 with a fast ez efi with an electronic 700r4. they reflashed it and made it work for my tranny. NO CHARGE and they shipped it back on their dime. Its too bad people get frustrated and just "make stuff up" Lifetime warranty and support and 100%made in USA. I bought it simply because it was cheaper. Dakota makes a great product no doubt good luck |

Re: LMC digital dash cluster????
Just to be fair, the Dakota Digital VFD gauges are $695, and the VHX gauges are $795. So, the LMC ones aren't quite half the price.

Just ordered the lmc kit, after speaking to intellitronix. This kit will work with all newer applications. I will use it on our 68 swb LS swap and report !

Yep me to. They have the version with the green display in stock but that's all. I want the white display though.

Re: LMC digital dash cluster????
yes, I opted for the blue gauges, to match the color of the truck !
the same with the Doug Thorley 324 headers. I ordered them, only to find that they had to be made, and were 3 weeks out. They just shipped today! |

Re: LMC digital dash cluster????
Just called to check order status. I placed my order on March 29 and opted for the white color. Was told then that it would be on back order for 5 weeks. Today when I called I was told it would be an additional 5 weeks from today's date. Very frustrated!!! You would think they would at least notify you if a back order date doubles.....
