I might take a long distance trip.

Why can't I drive my truck some place? Like several states away? Fuel costs are high yes but it might be really fun. I think dad drove my truck up into OH once and I know it's been to NC a couple of times. I'd like to drive it farther than that once I get it back on the road.

I'd really like to drive it over to Kount's Customs and let him restore it. Just go there for the trip, I don't want it to come back whacky or anything. *Anyone got a spare $20K just laying around?

Get yourself the "Plus" membership from AAA, cellphone w charger, bag of tools under the seat, a camera for memories, and some Johnny Cash, then you're good to go.

Dog and/or female companion are optional. YMMV.

.
Go for it! Be well prepared, and hit the road. I've driven my stepper (my DD), to Daytona Turkey Run, Three times to Pigeon Forge and many other "daytrips" to Chas. S.C., Asheville, N.C. and more. I try to "prep" my truck with a good once-over and hit the road. I just got my O/D trans and road trips are definetely is my future.

Jason, name the day! I'd like to help anyone do that! Be experience for me and that's valuable. I am serious. Name the day. Oh and as soon as this next storm is over, and the roads are clear again, I'll try to get up for those fenders.

Come to Arkansas we can hang out at the shop go play some golf[if you play, I am 4 min away from the cart shed at our club]I 'll throw some cow on the grill and make a time of it. Ya know that kinda would be a fun trip line up a bunch of members to meet and visit with. Jim

Sounds good on the fenders.

I was going to suggest the Power Tour as well but Heavymelt beat me to it. I will have my 71 on the tour again this year. Can't wait for it. June can't get here quick enough.
You could drive down to Charlotte NC where it starts then drive back home with us.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: I might take a long distance trip.

My truck probably won't be running by June but I can try for it!

Hugger....thanks for the offer! I'm terrible at golf (now the sort of range that involves guns, that's different ) but I'd go with ya anyway! Arkansas? Are there still secondary roads that go that far? My 4.11 doesn't like the interstate!
