SOOO, Need some advice on a 72 Cheyenne assembly

Starting to go back together with my truck. Bare cab, engine, trans installed. No doors, fenders on as not to scratch paint. What order of installatiion should be followed as not to have to remove parts already installed to get something else in. This is an AC truck.

Re: SOOO, Need some advice on a 72 Cheyenne assembly

I don't have mine together yet so I don't have the most in-depth advice, but what I have done so far is left my cab mount bolts loose. I will hang my doors and line them up with the cab lines first, then hang the fenders, grill, bedsides, etc with those bolts loose also and just twist and tweek everything together. I'm prepared for an 8 hr ordeal, I'm just thinking to bring everything in line slowly and patiently and tighten bolts up progressively as I go.

subscribed..... I'll be in the same boat later this year. I'd love to hear some advice on order. .... My guess would be to start with wiring, getting the brake and pedal set up, heat/ac ducts and all that goes with it. Dashpad, gauges, radio, glovebox, floor, seat, and whatever is left???? any one tell me where I might be out of order???

Hoses after the radio, center speaker and center vent. I just took mine apart to replace the cluster, vent and speaker. My hoses are old and brittle so I didn't remove too many. Had to duct tape surgery 2 hoses for now. You might want to look into getting the A/C center vent upgrade, Brothers P/N CVUG072, it eliminates an extra hose you do not need, and it is totally in the way when reassembling under the dash, got the cuts to prove it!!!

Here is the driver side that shows the hose closest to the wiper/washer switch is the one the kit eliminates.

This is the passenger side, sorry the pics are bad, that top hose goes away. I will take better pics when the kit comes in. And clean up under the dash too.

out with old, in with the new!

The speaker seal had melted to the point that it was like RTV, it is all over the center vent duct. Got it on the seat..........

It's not that hard to have it apart and all back together in an afternoon.
Depending on how many beers

Did you end up using the oem center speaker? Or did you order one of those upgrades?
