LMC Steering Controls...Anyone use these???

Hey y'all its gettin' time to do a front steering rebuild since my upper/lower b-joints are a bit loose. I was thinking of buying all the parts in the LMC book and having them installed by a shop here locally. Anyone ever used these parts and if so how were they in terms of quality and longevity? I'm gonna do the whole lot of parts not just the B-joints. Keeping in mind my rig is for tooling around town on weekends and an ocassional trip to work a couple times a week for the fun of it. Some fire road cruising but no extreme offroading either. Here's the page I'm looking at in LMC . All parts for the 73-87 are what I am thinking of buying comes to $426.10 with shipping.

Thanks

Have not used those from LMC,. but I recently bought a kit from POL.
I liked it because it was a "kit" and seems to be good stuff.

I actually bought the PU kit:

Thanks. I looked but noticed that kit is for a C-10 and I have a K-10 (4x4) I couldn't find a vehicle finder to coorelate the parts on the site so I'll call them.

Just talked with them and they do not carry this kit for a K-10. Thanks anyways though for trying to help me out.

Rockauto x2.

You get to buy top of the line quality parts and not the cheap stuff LMC gathers together.

LMC does not specify what brand their stuff is. You'd be taking a leap of faith. You likely get McQuay Norris or other similar cut price parts. If you order from Rockauto you can get made in USA quality parts.

Re: LMC Steering Controls...Anyone use these???

I would say make sure they were MOOG, but when I bought ball joints for my 99 from Orielys there were 2 made in the USA and 2 made in MEXICO

Re: LMC Steering Controls...Anyone use these???

I rebuilt mine with Moog parts from O'Reillys Auto. Cost more but Moog is the best stuff on the market, dont use cheap parts when it comes to suspension. Just my opinion, hope it helps. This was on a V1500 4X4 Suburban.

Re: LMC Steering Controls...Anyone use these???

Im in the middle of doing the front end on my one ton. Just placed my last rockauto order today. So far I've done upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, upper and lower control arm bushings, and sway bar bushings - all Moog parts for a shade under $300.
Doing the ball joints is something that I don't want to do again for a long time so i'm glad I used good parts. Ironically, rockauto sometimes has the good Moog parts for less than Autozone charges for the cheap stuff.
