63-66 trim question

I jus got a complete set of side trim off a 63 long bed. It had 2 extra small pieces that went vertical. one at the very back of the bed & one on the cab. Was it an add on or was it factory, one side has a notch were u would slide it under the top trim so it would not fall out. I didn't take any pics before it was pulled. But you can kinda see it in this one pic

I have all the part numbers for the trim, but never came across any mention of those vertical pieces.

I've never seen that extra piece, but I'm certainly no expert. That used trim will make someone very happy, it's only the second set that I've seen FS since I've been a member (and I bought the first set).
