I just picked up a %100 original 37K mile 1967 C50.

I picked this one up at the greene county tech FFA farm auction saturday.1967 50. 37K miles. 327, 4 speed and a two speed rear. has a new brake booster and two new tires. it just needs a battery. i jump started it and drove it in 3 miles. shifts runs and drives fine. EVERY light on it works. the radio comes on you can hear static but dont play. it has all of the papers in the glove box owners manual and protecto plate. it was bought new in piggot ar. that dealer has been closed for over 30 years it has a keasler bed on it installed right here in paragould ar. and has been on a farm in greenway all of it life. has help make every crop since the fall of 1966. my plans are to put a pickup dually bed on it or a car hauler bed. or i might put in on late model chassis like a 4 wheel disc brake hd rig witha 6.0 lsx engine and 19.5 rubber. it still has the old single exhaust on it it is so quiet that it sounds like a little six popper.

Love it!
Would look really cool with a dually PU box if you just want to drive it around. But having a ramp truck for dragging home more toys would be great too.

Congratulations!!!! Very cool truck. Have fun with it. When I got mine people would ask me all the the time if I was going to use it as a work truck and what I was going to haul with it. I never really had a good answer. I just bought it because I always liked them and I came upon I good deal. So now I answer them with it is just a toy. No rationale is needed. So much easier.

Have fun..............Flat67

well said. I might just keep it as a toy. or it would be cool to put a pick up bed on it and use to pull a trailer around here. it runs really good. neat ole rig.

Re: I just picked up a %100 original 37K mile 1967 C50.

Now I know it was cold when I was up there but where did you have this rig hiding when you gave me the "tour"? I have been looking for the perfect C40 50 or 60 off and on for about three years to build a dually out of. I have the bed in prime ready to go [almost] I have a spare front for one so I could cut the fender humps out to flip around to match the front fenders. I even think[if they are still here I had some extra running board stuff to make a full length type thing. That is a really nice one they really seem to gravitate to you. Jim

That is a nice one, makes me want to get one. Even though I don't need one.

Re: I just picked up a %100 original 37K mile 1967 C50.

Very nice cab. Neither my 72 or my 67 were anything as nice as yours.

I did a 72 C50 using fender flares but I can't find them anymore.

I sold the truck and now have a 67 C50 that i am going to use a 92 TopKick front and rear axles for the disk brakes. I hated the old giant drums!!!

I am thinking of using narrowed step side fenders to make the dulley bed this time.

Period correct narrowed down Step Side Fenders would be a good choice. I've seen a few before and they sure look good.

Re: I just picked up a %100 original 37K mile 1967 C50.

I'd go with cut down Stepside fenders. Make sure you stretch the wheel opening so it looks correct wit the big tire and opening in the front fender....That is what I did.
