Red face Wheel Dilema

I have ordered some Boss 338's For my 87 Step Side 20X10's for the rear and 18x8's for the front and know I'm wondering if maybe I should have ordered 18X9.5's for the front....Question Is anyone running 9.5's on the front of a lowered square body... Opinions do you think the 18x8"s will look right

Re: Wheel Dilema

My son put some 338s on his truck, the rear was a 20" rim and the rim's offset was not enoguh to fill out the fenderwell, so he used some spacers to get them where he wanted them to sit under the bed. The front was an 18" rim, but I am not usre as to which width rim they were. THe 338s have a very short center cap on them and we had to do some magic to the center of the hub and to the dust cap for the spindle to get the rims to sit on the truck and not push the center cap off of the rim. I finally ended up pulling the studs out and going to a longer stud and put a thin spacer on the front hubs to ensure that the cap had plenty of space. These spacers kicked the rim ut about 1/4" from the hub. We moved on to another brand of rim and sold these to another person for his 2WD blazer. An 8" rim can get you more rubbet han you would wnat on the front, IF you have a lowered truck.

Re: Wheel Dilema

I have 20"x8" Boss 338's on the front of mine to me they look fine. I think a 9.5" wheel would have stuck out too far for my liking.

Re: Wheel Dilema

This is what my son's truck looked like with his wheels on. I believe that the fronts were a 8X18 rim.
