64 1/2 ton Pulling Rear Axel
Would someone tell me how to pull the rear axels on a 64 Chevy 1/2 ton? I pulled the cover on the rear end, but don't see any c-clips or the likes. Don't believe I see a retainer on the brake backing plate.....do I? Thanks for any help, Tom

there should be a large shaft maybe 3/4" in diameter and around four inches long in the middle.its held in place with a small bolt.remove the bolt.slide the shaft out.then push the axle in and you will see the clip.remove the clip and the axle will pull out.
