Help with steering column

So the other day I tried to fix the loose steering on the column of my 1984 K5 Blazer and things went bad at the pivot pins. I got the pin removal tool and the driver side pin came out easily but the passenger side seems to be stuck. Pin tool broke of in the pin and the are hardened steel. Does any body have a way to get the pin out, or do I need to get another steering column? I've looked at steering columns in different year trucks and the firewall plates are different than mine. What years interchange with my blazer? Thanks.
