Glad you went black? I mean back? Looks like the horn button got replaced somewhere down the line. Pretty original, yet

Re: 1968 black cst
parted ? probably not. it has some rust , but not too bad. it has a 240 hp 327 , 3spd on the column, no power , non gauge. the guy I got it from said it needs a timing chain. gotta love that color combo. here`s a few more pics

Re: 1968 black cst
That is one of my favorite color combos. I even had an 09 HHR SS that was black with a black and red interior. I thought it was "pimpalicious"!

Re: 1968 black cst
I had a '69 CST SWB Black w/red interior for my wife back in the late-80s/early-90s. Just can't beat it for sharp!
That motor is a gem. Should be the 010 casting, large journal, with forged crank. I got mine from a '68 C/20

Re: 1968 black cst
cleaned 2 huge trash bags of garbage from the bed and under the seat. the bed floor and wheel tubs are pretty good. straightened about 90% of the biggest dent in the pass bedside ( both sides still have plenty of dents). put a battery in it , turned it over, not good. it has that loose metal parts rolling around inside the engine sound. definitely more than a timing chain.
Plans, it`s going behind the garage for now, if there`s room. |
