Re: Window tint pics.....Getting window tint put on my truck
A couple of years ago I removed my rear slider and put in a rear flat glass and hd it tinted as dark as possible. I do realize you folks in the Southern USA deal with tremendous heat at times. Its against the law here to have the side windows tinted and even if it wasn't I wouldn't do it anyway as it is dangerous.
The first reason it is dangerous is because you can't make eye contact with another driver through the dark glass. if you are going straight and someone wants to turn off a side street in front of you, how do you know if they have seen you if you cant see them in the vehicle. The other reason is more rare but it only needs to happen once. Side windows are designed to shatter on impact when hit. Now when you tint the side windows with sticky film it hold the glass together when you try to break it so if you were ever involved in an accident and rescue personell needed to break a side window to get you out of the vehicle the sticky tint would hold the window together even after it was smashed. I am not preaching here just stating facts.....
