underbed gas tank relocation kit

So I just purchased the top fill, under-bed gas tank relocation kit from Brothers. They have a spring sale going on until April 30th and I basically got a $140.00 off their regular price for the kit and the filler kit. Any tips, info, links to threads, or just words of advise to help would be a big help. I know it says "direct fit", but I know from my own experience that it isn't always as easy as they say. If anyone is familiar with this kit or any very similar, is there any thing that has to be cut, trimmed, or removed. Also the best recommendation for fuel line and routing. I'm just trying to prepare myself for the task ahead and make things go as easy as possible John

Re: underbed gas tank relocation kit

You may have to post what "kit" it was. Is it the blazer/suburban tank? If so, you'll have to cut/notch the rear bed brace over the tank. I have a couple pics of mine when the bed was off.

88-98 Silverado/burb/Tahoe etc or 2nd gen s10/s10 blazer fuel door.

Same one I'm using above

By using our popular Blazer/Suburban gastank, BROTHERS has been able to put together this inexpensive kit.

Re: underbed gas tank relocation kit

Almost... you need the entire thing for it to "hot link."

Set it under the truck to be 100% sure, but yes, that kit will require the bed mount above the tank to be trimmed.

Re: underbed gas tank relocation kit

Cool thanks for the tip. Do you think a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel would cut it. I have air tools to do the job, just no air at my house. Either way a lil trimming is'nt nothing major

Re: underbed gas tank relocation kit

How is the progress on your tank going? I am looking to get a similar tank but with side fill for my '72 fleetside.
