Anyone in MD/DE/PA area know how to....

Im looking to possibly attempt turning my long bed into a shortbed. Not sure if anyone in the area has done this or has any links to a site that can explain it all in relatively easy terms. Ive searched and searched but everyone has there own way and specialty on how they like to do it. Thanks for any help.

There are some serious experts around here.. all I can say is that if you are not a really, really good welder then find someone who is.

You don't want to find your shortcomings by having a frame buckle on you.

Thanks panhandler. I do metal and fabrication work in the materials industry so my welding is pretty sufficient. My dad is also a great welder which is who I pretty much learned from. I'm really looking for someone who can just explain it to me or possibly point me in the right direction of a thread to figure it out. Thanks for the reply

I'll let folks like Nate chime in then.

I would just be repeating things I've read here.
This thread discusses tensile strength of various notches. That's a slightly different topic but it should be informative.
