I need to remove my steering column, any tricks?

I have to remove the tilt column from my 87 K30, is it straight forward? Thanks

No it is not straight forward, it sits at a slight angle, but removing it is not hard. To nuts under the dash, a clamp at the firewall, inside the cab, and the connectors to the steering box. Don't forget to unplug the ignition switch and electrical plugs for cruise and lights, that sits on top of the steering column, under the dash and the automatic gear shift indicator cable.

Well, I went back and started to work on the tilt column again. I had given up on it and was going to take the column out of the truck and bring it to a column rebuilder to have him take it apart the rest of the way, tighten the 4 bolts and put it back together.
Heck with that... I'm gonna fix it if it kills me finally got is completely tore down, bolts with loctite applied and now its time to put it back together
