Re: New convertor is in!!!

I think most of us here understand. We need a church basement somewhere and some sponsors for our addiction. The only problem is none of us are trying to cure the addiction and we cant help but encourage each other. We are all destined to be perpetually broke with shops full of parts worth 1/3 of what they cost new. Its about the stupidest possible way to "invest" money right up until you hit the loud pedal and the smile almost hurts.

There would be no reason why health benifits shouldn't help cover my addiction expenses.

Re: New convertor is in!!!

Well got everything ready to go, made some changes and the fuel pump is acting up.. New 175 GPH bypass pump. ITs not a electrical deal , it stopped I tapped it with my hand and if took off again. Not going to take the chance of spraying the engine with a faulty pump.. CHIT this sucks .. buts it covered under warranty.

Re: New convertor is in!!!

Steve did you blow each and every line out after you assembled the hose ends? One stupid little piece os stray steel braid will really ruin you day under boost! I toe up a new Mallor 250 GHP alcohol pump because I was in too big of a hurry. And besides, the debris wouldn't possibly find its way into the pump!!!

Sorry for the delayed outting. It's too hot to race down there anyways isn't ti!

Re: New convertor is in!!!

Marv yes , the pump seems to have a issue with the brushes .. Oh well I needed to install a 90* shut off valve in the supply side anyways. Good time as any.. No it was 83 temp wise we had rain the day before..

Re: New convertor is in!!!

Rain can suck it, loaded the truck in the trailer yesterday got up at 4am today and drove about 2hrs 45mins to get rained out, canceled for Sat and Sun, so canceled hotel room and drove another 2hrs to another track rained today but forecast looks good for tomorrow.

Parked the trailer at the track and got a room in the city for the night, hope to get some test passes in tomorrow. Anyway back on topic, hope the converter works for you, mine right now is way too loose for bottle, but will have to do for now, don't want to drop cash on a new one until the new motor build.

Interested in how the 90* valve works out for you and what type you use . Been thinking one of these would be nice for fuel filter changes .
