Who Else is running Edlebrock Pro Flow 1 EFI

I just installed an Edlebrock Pro Flow 1 system and am having a small problem with it wanting to surge at Idle I get it to calm down and run real nice then after letting it set for 10 minutes or so we’re back to surging. I'm told it may be a tank venting problem.
My question is how and where did you vent you gas tank. Mine is still behind the seat I did install a return line to the sender, is there room to vent there also and if so where do you vent to? Just outside??

I have no experience with this but, what about a vented gas cap?

I have a vented locking cap but still get a suction noise when removing it: yet you can blow through it so it’s not clogged I’m wondering if a vent should be a certain size like 3/8 or ???

Re: Who Else is running Edlebrock Pro Flow 1 EFI

How does it run with the cap off? I'd try a different cap. It sounds like the cap is not venting when it is closed all the way. There shouldn't be a sucking sound when it is removed.

I haven’t had time to even look at the truck this week, my youngest daughter graduated from Dental school on Thursday. She’s now officially “Dr. Kristina D.D.S” so we partied most of the week end. I’m going to take the cap off and drive it to see if that does it. If so then guess I’ll be putting in a vent line.
My question now is how big does a vent line need to be? Guess I’ll be calling Edlebrock at least one more time

There's a vent line for sale on the board, right now.

Re: Who Else is running Edlebrock Pro Flow 1 EFI

I installed a FIRST TPI system using the factory tank (see build thread below for more detail). I simply drilled a very small hole in the valve on the bottom of the fuel cap and it's been working just fine.

NICE Truck. Would you have a pic of the hole you drilled in the cap. I have a locking cap and CAN blow through it I just dont think its enough

Here you go. Some really small holes. Let me know how it works for you?

Re: Who Else is running Edlebrock Pro Flow 1 EFI

Thanks Z10. I have a locking cap so I'll get a standard one and give it a shot. Steering box blew a seal on Friday so since it’s about the only thing I haven replaced I put a new PS box on it Sunday. Ran around with cap off and seemed to help a bit but did NOT solve the hunting when cold and in gear problem. Suspect we have more tuning to do.
Thanks for the input
