Before installing toe and floor pans, really needed to fill in the original steering column hole. When I was younger, I would mark the patch, jump up and run over to the grinder, remove a little, test fit and repeat a dozen times. Now, I have the belt sander right there to use. That little hospital table is one of the handier items in the shop.

An "OK" quality filler patch. Little hammer and dolly work to stretch out the shrinking from welding heat and primer surface will be good enough. Still need to install the triangular piece beside this one.
