3/4 ton running board splash apron mount
Can someone show how the rear top corner of the splash apron is mounted? There is a hole in the rolled over section that I had to repair since it was torn out. I am sure that there is some sort of bracket mount that I may be missing. Any help?

Re: 3/4 ton running board splash apron mount
I have the same question and have been looking for photos of these attachment points. Its been like 26 years since I tore this thing apart. Enlisted & retired from the Air Force. Then went to college for four years. While in the AF, dad started working on it when he retired from his job. Mom is fixin to "put a stick of dynamite under it" if it doesn't get out of the garage. One of the last things are the side filler panels. I get that they bolt to the top of the running boards, but what about the top corners. I think the tab in the back attaches to the inner fender flange. Does the front attach to this bracket?
The tab sticking off in the bottom corner in the photo, that mounts to the fender flange? I would appreciate it if one of y'all would take a photo of the upper mounting points on a stock truck. (mom would appreciated it too) Thanks in advance. Jake |

Re: 3/4 ton running board splash apron mount
I went back out and looked again and mine has an L bracket that is welded to the filler panel and it is bolted though the hole in the bracket.
I can't believe I paid real money for that rusty mess.

Re: 3/4 ton running board splash apron mount
I believe the other poster is interested in the other end where the splash apron is attached to the rear fender. It is a offset tab welded to the top back of the apron and bolts to the fender.

Re: 3/4 ton running board splash apron mount
Thanks for the replies and pictures. I think I'll try and get them on today. Dad bought fiberglass running boards and fenders for it years ago and none of those parts seem to fit right. Thanks y'all.
