91 Suburban Rear Leak - Any Suggestions

I have not been able to locate a leak in the rear of my Suburban. Every time it rains the rear carpet gets wet, mainly on the passenger side. Truck was repainted so quarter glasses were removed. Just wondering if any else had this and could suggest what to check before I tear it all apart. Thanks

I had an issue like this in the front and did some searching on how to find leaks around windows. This video shows you the easy way. Basically you put some soap on the outside and blow compressed air from the INSIDE. That may not be immediately clear.

What kind of shape are your window gaskets in? Those rear quarter glass pieces are really easy to remove, but it is a two person job.

If you had it done at a shop you might bring it back (show them where it is) and just have them re-set the gasket and the glass. I.e. Remove it and re-install. Or Consider replacing the gaskets with good quality ones (also there is much debate on that)

This all assumes its leaking at the glass of course.

NEVER EVER put silicone sealer on there. It attracts moisture and will cause rust.

Do some searches, I think these topics have good coverage on this site (but might be more focused on windshields.
