automatic power BBW conversion

Ran into a member at a car show over the weekend, he had a small back window and cut it slowly out and put in a rear power window from a ltd wagon,
I liked his "outside of the box" mods on his truck.

Re: automatic power BBW conversion

WhippinSaw - that's a neat mod.

I recall a similar deal on another forum a fella was using the power window set up out of a later model SUV door/gate.

Would be very neat to have in a modded out truck.

Nice. I've seen a couple of guys talk about doing it, but this is the 1st I've seen done. And he has the hard to find sail panels that hold the back of cab trim.

Re: automatic power BBW conversion

That was a popular mod with the mini trucks back in the 80's, but I think this is the first '60-'66 I have seen with a power rear window.

First one I've seen. Looks really nice, and I esp. like that color scheme; this builder had vision. (Musta used his ready cash--went cheap on the 'bumper' between the utility box and the front-of-bed panel!) Really, I should not have said that!

Re: automatic power BBW conversion

I will run into him at the car show again and get some more pictures or ask him to post some up. His wife drive a really cool 56 caddy and he has done some cool caddy mods to his truck, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=505376
