Ha Ha...That's what I did for my youngest because I had started collecting toy trucks once my older son got into his teens. You feel pretty ridiculous telling a kid that toy isn't for playing with. I got ones for him to play in the sandbox (10 x 12) that were in "Plenty played with" condition and told him the ones on the shelf were special. I'd get those down and we'd play with them together...inside.

We collected Hot Wheels together. I never let him know back then that I was buying duplicates to leave in the package. He's 22 now. I told him a few years ago and so far he's not interesting in selling. They are his to do whatever he wants.
