Bagging has begun *PICS*

Well guys, its started.....The rear was bagged before school started back up(Jan. 5). Last week I pulled the front apart, and last night I worked on the driver side. The driver's side is all put back together now. I have 2 inch dropped spindles and ART bags. On the back I have a two inch block with ART bags. I've got the passenger side left to do, and from there I'm hooking up my two Viair 400's, 12 gallon tank, Big Red valves, and some 1/2 inch line. and no I'm not trying to hop. All bigger line does is make it faster. Bigger line is involved with hopping, but to hop you up the psi in the tank from the normal 145-150 to 200 and up. Just an fyi to clarify some possible misleading info I've read here. When the other side is done, I'll catch some pics.

Thanks guys,
Ryan

PS> I've also made my tranny mount and have a dummy block and empty tranny in it right now. In the upcoming weeks the LT1 will be dropped in along with the 700R4 trannsmission.

PSS> Here are some pics of the truck, well whats there. Also the front and rear suspension. The blocks still have to be put in the rear, and the frame needs to be notched. I'll be mounting all the valves soon. 1 at each corner for fasting response and best adjustability.

Well guys,

I finished the bagging process and dropped spindles. Still have to notch the rear and put the blocks in. Problem is, I forgot my camera at home, so next I go over there, I'll shoot some pics for you guys.

Hop it???

Are you runnin' 1/2" ID or OD line?????? I don't want to sound like an A hole but you aren't gonna have enough air to hop it more than once and your recovery time with the Viairs are gonna kill ya. That stuff might work on an S10 but your dealin' with a fullsize....

I would suggest that you go to a nitrogen, CO2 or someother bottle setup with a 400 PSI regulator if you intend on hoppin. Also upgrade to some slamspecialties bags as the Firestones WILL pop with that high PSI. Keep the Viairs for normal street use, draggin' and whatever.

I have hopped my 91' before(all 4 wheels close to 16" on 1 hit) but I didn't have enough air to hop it the 2nd time. I was at 275 PSI WITH the York running. I am running 5/8" ID(3/4 OD) stainless hard lines with 1/2" 15mm Parker valves and 2 - 6 gal tanks and a York 210 engine driven compressor and 1/2 port 2600# bags.

Good Luck!

bagged91, I think Bagd72Chevy left a word out in that post. I am pretty sure he meant to say.....and no I'm not trying to hop. I inserted the word not, but I feel like that was his intentions....

Joe I guess you can say it at a stand still right now. I moved it to another shop in Rockwall called Stoked Out Specialties . They had prior commitments to clear out before they started on my Blazer. It looks like they will start on it in a week or two.

Re: Bagging has begun

Fast forward 10 years, 6 months, and 7 days and I am still not done.

However I do still own the truck and it has been hidden from the eyes of society for over a decade. In the meantime I have gone to College, Graduated Mechanical Engineering, got my Professional Engineering License, bought a house, bought a mill, 2 lathes, a cnc plasma, gone through a few girlfriends, tinkered with other junk, and now decided it is time. The truck has had alot of work done to it but it has its problems. I did the original suspension 10 yrs ago. Redid the suspension 9 yrs ago to make it lay frame. Should have left it alone! LOL. The body work is perfect, paint is astounding, and the chassis is crap. So I will be updating this thread with my work as I finish the truck I started long ago and have dreamed of completing. They make many more parts for this truck than they did a decade ago but I will be building this truck for me, my way, with my parts.

Here are some pictures of the road to get us to here:

How I bought it in November 2003.

bagged, lt1, 700r4, 20" Billet Specialties

Then I decided it wasnt low enough and I did this. Back when you needed a welder, torch/plasma, and balls to lay out a C10.

Which brings us about to present day. It's a bit dusty and dirty but looks about the same. I have a 69 Chassis that I will be building to swap into the truck and finish it out.
