Manual to power doors

I picked up an 84 c-10 for parts and it came with a set of perfect power window doors. My door are manual and pretty rusty. What is involved in that conversion. The whole complete harness is there in the 84.

Re: Manual to power doors

just swap doors and get the wiring harness
run a line to the battery with a inline fuse 10g or thicker
also if it has power locks dont forget the relay by the fun pedal
you also need to make holes by where your doors mount to run the wires
i used a 1 or 1 1/4 inch hole saw bit to make the hole

Just grab the complete harness, everything you need will be right there. It's a tedious process (getting all the wires) but well worth it when everything works as it should. I grabbed a harness for mine and ran everything then taped off the ends in the doors. If you follow the donor harness from the doors you'll end up with everything you need from the doors to the fuse panel. Mine is still all manual but ready to go power when I get around to it.

Re: Manual to power doors

Anyone have any pics of the harness going to the fuse box? Just about to make the conversion and have everything except the directions to hook it all up... Does the fusebox have to be year specific? I have 91 doors and harness but a 77 fusebox...
