i'm ok with you posting over here, as slow as the pre47 forum is, i think they should be combined
tar looking stuff may have been old black rubber foam similar to what chevy used on tf trucks my hood brace had rubber foam in it to keep the hood from oil canning that had turned to sticky goo i replaced it with self adhesive rubber foam
