72 Cab with a 67 Dog House?

I found a 72 A/C Cab with minimal rust for sale. Will 72 Cab work with the front 67 Dog House?

Thanks

Re: 72 Cab with a 67 Dog House?

Here is more details. I have front 67 fenders, hood, grill and head lights. The cab is chopped and has electric windows and shaved door handles.

I am wanting to change the cab back to a stock cab. The 72 cab I found comes with complete doors. I will need to get glass for the windshield and back window.

Will the fenders bolt up to a 72 cab?

Re: 72 Cab with a 67 Dog House?

67-72 windshields are all the same, so no problems there. However most 67 rear windows are small windows and the 68-72 are large so they do not interchange. That is unless your 67 has the panoramic rear window option, then they are same as 68-72.
You won't have any problems bolting the fenders, inner fenders, hood, core support, bumper, and etc as long as you use all 67/68 stuff. WES

Sounds like all you need is the 67-68 core support

Here is what I was thinking of doing.

This is how the truck seats right now.

3 things I want to change.

1. Change the electric windows to factory roll up.
2. Change back to reg door handles.
3. No more chop.

Here is the cab I am looking at. Waiting for the seller to get back to me.

I can't sell the truck because it was given to me by my father and he made me agree that it will stay in the family.

IF the doors are solid might be an OK deal there a few others on there for more money right now as I am sure you have seen

Man that's lots of work but its not worth having if its not how you want it!

ANd if you do it right you could get a good price for your cab to offset your undertaking

Re: 72 Cab with a 67 Dog House?

Well some people would pay a lot of money for your old cab, complete with doors, windshield, etc; Looks to be very well done.

Not me, I like them the way they are from the factory.

You will have to transfer the body ID tags, however, not sure of how the laws in your state apply to that. The factory used special "rosette" rivets to install the tags, hard to obtain.

You might do a title search on the craigslist cab to be sure you are not buying stolen property or outstanding liens, and for sure get a bill of sale with the tag number on it. Not sure if VIN numbers are located anywhere else on the cab.

Best way to transfer ID tags: Cut the metal around it, and weld it into the new cab.
