Also good for real time engine, steering and brake system monitoring. No need to mess with pesky heater cores either. AC can be a problem however....

Complete tear down of the 49, cab is off all panels ready to sand and primer. Waiting for a good S10 to pick up to start the build. Motor on stand and ready for rebuild.

Installed the speedo/instrument cluster after it being mechanically refreshed by Auto Instruments. Its nice knowing what speed I doing now and no skipping or screeching.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, take 2

This AM I went out and looked at it, then went back to my coffee. In a few hours I might get out there and do some more soldering.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, take 2

Received a 62 Nova auto shift indicator bezel for the top of the column, great non pitted original, looks like it was made for it. Wasted the afternoon making a plexi lense and chasing down letters for it only to have it melt down when polished. Went in and ordered a replacement online from Shiftworks, some things are better bought....

Re: What did you do with your truck today, take 2

Finished soldering up the ground side connections, moved the rear sensor connectors around a little, started wrapping everything in split loom. Got a little ways to go but progress is progress.
