20x9.5 rear tire backspacing on 71-72

I am going to be running 20x9.5 rear tires on my 71 short fleetside,Was wondering what backspace you guys are running on the wider rear 71-72 models.If possible can you post pics thanks Brian.

In front I'm going with 20x8 so should I use 5 or 4.5 backspace.

Why ask a total stranger, someone that might not be able to find their backside with a flashlight and a map when you can go out to your truck and measure it?

If I could measure right now I would body is at paint shop and frame is at my house just trying to see what guys on here are running and some pics.Isn't why this forum was started so 67to 72 truck owners help each other out.

My truck is a 70, but has the wide rear end like the 71's and 72's. My front wheels are 20x8 with 4.5" of backspacing. (255/40 tire) No rubbing.
The rears are 20x9.5 with 5.875" of backspacing. (295/40 tires) They fit without spacers, but were very close to rubbing the inner fenders. I run a 1/4" spacer to set them out just a bit. I think 5.5" BS would work perfectly. Here's a couple pics that will give you an idea how mine fit.

5.0'' Backspacing would be just about right. I install alot of 20X10.0's with 5.50'' backspacing. Half inch narrower rim , half inch less backspace. I also install alot of 285/40/20's and 295/40/20's

I really like the look of the 295/40/20 on the back.
