235/powerglide????
Well I am stumped on this one. I have a 1961 chevy c10 that has the original thriftmaster 235 but whoever owned it one time or another swaped the 3 speed to a 4 speed on the floor. I have a cast iron powerglide out of a 60 impala/belair I like to put in the truck. Now the thing is I see no place to bolt up the crossemember like the 64-66 have the option too. Also is my front engine mount gonna need moved? Sure I would probab have to do some driveshaft work. Just can't find any info on this swap. I want to go with the powerglide over the th350 cause the bellhousing on the powerglide matches the thiftmaster.

Re: 235/powerglide????
seems to me that the cast powerglides have a "bell housing" mount like the standard shift bell housings mount, that is the way it is in my 55 chevy car, power glide trucks must have something similar.

Re: 235/powerglide????
My 4 speed manual has the mounts next to the bellhousing but the powerglide has the mount by the tailshaft.
