Here is the SPID.

I have polished/buffed the paint. These are pics without wax. When it has wax, it really shines. The paint is a little thin on the sides where the body lines slope in but for a vehicle more than 40 years old, I think it adds a nice patina. The paint on the hood is largely gone. Significant areas of the black primer is showing through. I would like to have the hood repainted to match the rest of the truck. I know it may be hard to match but think this is the approach I want to go.

Not the best lighting conditions/photos but one can see the difference in the paint between when I first got the rig and what it is like now.

Re: Greetings

Hella H4 conversion headlights installed
I converted the headlights to an H4 type. I went with the Hella lamps as they look similar to the original 7 inch headlights and one has to really look to notice they are not stock.
After much research on 67-72chevytrucks a Forum, I purchased a wiring harness with built in fuses and relays and the lights online. The Hella lens are very nice quality - they have glass lenses and metal reflectors.

I routed the new headlight harness along the existing wire mould along the radiator. Power comes directly off the battery. I mounted the relays on the fender near the battery.

Illumination is significantly improved over stock.
