Re: My 52 GMC Build

I really like those LED bulbs. I got the same brand for my wife's excursion. I also put them in a 98 Dodge. No issues with the LED's compared to the horrid HID set ups.

Well she might not mind... I had the turbo sitting on the mantle for 6 months before I installed it.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

So today I used my truck as a truck and picked up the wood I'm using for the new bed. Then started working on prepping the cool new bed. Also my friend Joe sent me this pic from a week ago when I was skating down the expressway, about 1" off the ground at 60mph.

I love looking at your build, it makes me really happy to know that I am not the only one that likes off-roading and still built a lowered truck!

Very nice pics! I'm in the middle of bagging my 40 Ford. I don't think it'll be as low as your truck when driving down the road though.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

LED looks great, will have to look into those. I tried the GE 7in LED and didnt like how they stuck way out from headlight bezels.
Love the picture riding Loooow on the highway. Truck is just cool.

I did a 7" three chamber light conversion on my 49 and I actually mounted them from the BACK to pull them in even with the bezel!

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Got the plywood off, bought all my hardware for installing the new bed. Maybe I should just put a piece of plexy glass on the bed frame. Hope to have the bed done on the weekend then you all will see.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

So here you go, what I'm sure you have all been waiting for......The plywood id gone!!! Took a lot more time to accomplish than I thought, but got it 99% done last night. Just have to drill, nut and bolt some center holes.
My little $2 garage sale drill press came in real handy drilling basically 108 holes in stainless.
I'll get a picture in the sun this afternoon.
