Lowering 69 C20

Okay plan is to lower my c20 and convert to 5 lug. Two different projects. Is the below kit what I need. My truck has coil springs front and back.

You will also need shock relocate brackets and adjustable trac bar.

Re: Lowering 69 C20

I am interested in doing the same with mine. Do you think that much of a drop would affect your ride quality? Be interesting to see how it goes! Best of luck to you.

Re: Lowering 69 C20

I went with ECE 2-4 drop kit, came with everything needed to do the job and fit great. No problems. As far as ride quality goes mine suffers from the low profile tires not the drop springs and shocks.

This set says it comes with "all 4 CPP lowering shocks" does that mean they are shorter shocks and don't need the relocation.?

I was thinking it might be better to have stock length shocks and the relocate brackets but maybe not if the springs are shorter anyway. Anyone have any thoughts about that.?

This is going to be a purchase for me soon.

Re: Lowering 69 C20

The shock relocate kit is required for the shocks to work properly. The stock shocks will not work. The relocate kit keeps the shock at the correct angle for optimal performance. You might look around in the suspension forum to get some pics.

Good to know the stock shocks won't work. Are these CPP shocks pretty good or is it worth stepping up to some QA1's or something similar.?
