Cheyenne glove box door

When I bought my '71 C10 LWB stepside, the former owner gave me two pickup beds of parts.
He had a Cheyenne glovebox door along with the parts. It has a wood grain that is in very good shape (pic has a weird spot that is not really there) but it looks like shades of black not brown, like I would expect.
Am I wrong, is it supposed to look like this and is this a valuable piece? I'm trying to get extra money for the project by selling off old parts stock.
Thanks

Re: Cheyenne glove box door

If you are unsure of the value, post a thread in the WIW (what it's worth) section. You will also want to post your for sale items in the parts section and the parts you list will have to have prices or the moderators will be discussing it with you.

Nice looking piece.
Good luck,
Tom

Re: Cheyenne glove box door

The condition of the wood grain is is not a factor unless the paint is good and you find someone with that color of truck. Otherwise the wood grain tape will have to be removed to paint it to match the next owners truck.

In your 2 beds of truck parts I am looking for a complete set of big block air conditioner compressor brackets ( there are 8 or 9) . Also looking for some clean black 3 point seat belts black in color. I would love to be the first contributor to your project fund if you have them. Let me know what you got"

Are you pulling my leg? Never heard of a WIW section? ....wow, there really is one, thanks.
Sorry for making this look like I was selling it. I was just wondering if it was unique enough to sell.
Thanks

Re: Cheyenne glove box door

Not sure what the deal is with the blacker ones. I have one here that was nicely equipped.
