How's he gonna weld Stainless or Alum with a basic 110 mig?
I agree he's prob capable enough of putting something together tho, but personally I wouldn't try to "learn" mig welding on tube, for a turbo application. Ivorton, for the power levels you want, you have a ton of wiggle room and choices for parts. I'd really consider having some vbands or flanges welded onto flipped truck manifolds, which has been done 100's of times, and can easily put the turbo where you'd like it. Chinese turbos' can go fast, you just have to be a bit more diligent in WHERE you get it from, and making sure that your getting exactly what you want. Starting with the truck manifolds, some flanges, a bend kit like Tiny posted, your already well on your way. Used Holset's can also be nice if you want "factory" type parts. My .04 cents.

I agree about the learning to weld part though. Welding tube isn't too much different once you know how to weld but learning on a curve is just making it harder on yourself.
