86 3 on the tree column

I'm getting ready to do an LS swap and was wondering what a fair price would be to ask for some of this stuff that I will be replacing.

3 spd manual column
Vortec 4.3 V6 65,000 miles
Saginaw 3 spd trans
Clutch pedal assembly

Whatever you can get. Best to check your local CL for pricing on those. Steering $50-200, engine $200-500 with trans & clutch

Is the steering column and linkage for sale?

I appreciate the response. I agree, there's probably not much value in the motor and transmission, but I believe your low on the column. Auto columns and floor shift columns are plentiful, but was near impossible to find a 3 speed column shift steering column while I was looking for a shifter lever. I had resorted to looking for complete trucks just to find the lever.

True three on the tree manual for those years is a bit more rare, but not highly desirable. At least I typically find 1 in 1000+ guys looking for a 3 on the tree column, but tons wanting a key less shiftless column as they put in floor shifters.

Always put something high and see if you have any local takers. If not, take what you can get or store it for awhile.

So you ask WIW then go on to say that the responder is a bit low on price?

If you already know what it is worth why are you asking?

Seems a bit silly.

A 3 on the tree is rare in an 86. But you will be damn lucky to sell it.

As always....when we need that parts...you pay more than you want. But when you have it....you never get what you already paid.
