69 Long Bed Stepside Wood bed repair

Hi Folks:
I need to fix the bed of my truck but I want to know if is possible use 3/4 inch plywood, I Know there are 10x4 feet plywood available, the problem is the area of the is 97x50, lenght is no proble but wide is.
Do you have any idea.

Biscuit join 1" wood molding to the outside edges then seal the crap out of it with some good marine grade varnish. Or rip it down to the factory widths and use the bed strips. With the 1/4" gaps in between, might make up the difference.

I'm not sure how long plywood would hold up. But, I have seen it done. You could probably use marine plywood for better life.

Just use boards. If it's a matter of money for new strips & hardware to do it right, just bolt boards down to fit. Even pressure treated plywood can come apart when allowed to soak water. It's pressure treated to keep the wood from rotting, but even exterior glue has it's limits in a lamination. The boards will allow water to drain and not look all that bad
