Whats behind your seats?

i have a '57 with the gas tank mounted under the bed. i want to build a vanity piece to fill in where the tank used to be. possibly with some speakers. i was hoping you all could post some pictures of what you guys did behind your seats so i can get some inspiration. hoping to get all of my work done in time for Ht Rod Power Tour in June!!

Re: Whats behind your seats?

A big wood speaker box that I built years ago that has a tray for tools and truck cleaning stuff. the lawn chairs in bags will lay on top of the box if I want to put them inside. I usually keep an old windbreaker back there too just in case I need it. Works good to cover up a good t shirt for a side of the road tire change.

At one time I had a gun rack back there rather up in the back window

A few wires and pretty much all the brains of my truck.

wow that looks clean! i bought 100 watt pioneer kick panel speakers so im thinking about mounting 2 10" sub woofers directly behind the seats. i might make the whole wall out of 3/4 MDF so it basically will become a big sub enclosure. then cover it in either carpet or leather to match the rest of the interior.

Built this box over the gas tank. 6x9's were a tight squeeze...
