need ideas for sound deadening material for suburban bed

What about some good old rubberized under coating beneath the bed possibly the whole underside of the body, i it scratches off just reapply, used it on an old 79 pickup, just kept using what the original owner was using. Seemed to work well keeping rust away especially up here in New Jersey. Just a thought.
