2000 GMC - new cowl hood is on

Well, project truck is gone so I thought I'd spend a few $$ on my trusted old friend

OEM rust eating away at my GMC hood had me looking at alternatives. Was able to buy a new cowl induction hood at near cost. Picked it up from the paint shop today. I'm told Storm Gray metallic is a ***** to match up

Old dog still looks pretty nice for having >200K on the ticker.

Man, that cowl hood looks sweet! Love the color. What brand hood is that?

Thanks. I've wanted one forever, the rust got bad enough to justify it in my mind at least

One company makes them, they come from Taiwan. Everyone is a reseller

This had RODGER or something on the box, but it from Sherman Associates here in town.

Thanks
Feels good to do something nice to the truck for a change, it's been a while since it has been treated to a mod.

Hood looks great! I see you had wait4me do a custom tune, what do you think of it? and what do you use your truck for? I was thinking about doing one for my '02

I've had that tune for quite a few years now, never had an issue. Really woke the truck up

I drive it every day, tow the car trailer, haul the kids around, everything. No complaints about the tune. I still have my OEM PCM in a box just in case
