The red truck is back

So after a short affair, I came back to my true love. Don't know what you have till it's gone, right? Without holding any grudges, she fired right up when I pulled her out of storage a couple of days ago. I've come to the conclusion that I have to put some time into this relationship (and money) for a good outcome. Got a few ideas that will hopefully make her my semi - daily driver.
That said here's my re - introduction. Looking forward to being back reading the forums and possibly being able to contribute again.

Yep that looks familiar right down to the rubber bushings and the support bracket in the background. Mine's on the floor in the garage and I swear it's got it out for my big toe! Not sure if you're ever down this way but if you are, pm me. I'm sure we can work something out for the sake of avoiding future broken toes.

Re: The red truck is back

It does look kind of happy. I was trying to convince myself that it was on sabtical (I think that's what the smart people call it) after working hard all its life. When it fired up first crank though, I knew it was anxious to get paroled! Lol

Looks great, never get tired of looking at a 63. Now according to the parts books there is an early and late version. What style of drag link do you have?

Aw man Norm, you're killin me, and just when I thought that I knew what I needed to know about this truck! Ok, drag link is the one across the axle or from the pitman to the knuckle? The front axle is a '73 3/4 ton Chevy swap. I would like to know the difference though.

Re: The red truck is back

Ok, left over memory fart. I apologize
According to the parts book 62 had an early and late model Steering Connecting Rods.
61-early 62 shared the same Rod. Tubular Rod with Studs (which I had on my 62 K10)
62 later had a Rod of it's own. Solid Rod with Studs
63-66 all shared the same Rod but different part number than late 62.
