1974-1979 for sure and I read in a magazine once that you could get it in 1973 in Blazers. I haven't actually seen a 73 Blazer with it, just what I read. Every 1980 that I have seen had the NP205.

Re: What year trucks had full time 4X4

Just one more reason why I stayed with 71/72 4wds till the late-80s. You could order a real 4wd but all the guys I wheeled with were buying new trucks while I preferred old. I'm not sure how it worked, but my buddy bought a sweet '79 K/20 that had a NP205 and lockout hubs. That was one sweet rig and turned my head toward square bodies. actually, another buddy bought a '77 K/30 dual rear pickup with NP205, but his was a 4spd. Jimmy's '79 was the first automatic/205 I saw in the '70s. I don't know if it was always an alternative or if it was an after thought once it was obvious the full-time wasn't such a great idea.

Re: What year trucks had full time 4X4

I had a 75 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 , it was full time, the front end floated above 30 mph, in other words wasn't " driving" it was my first love for chevy trucks, lots of love, tears, and money went into that one. it would pull a house down
