Advise Before Powder Coating

A question to the guys that powder coated their 4x4 frames.
Did you remove your front spring bushing brackets, and powder coat them separately? Then bolt them back on afterwards? Or just leave them on? Also I'm guessing that I should burn those old bushings out, before taking it to be powder coated. Their ovens go up to 400 or 500 degrees, so that rubber would probably melt out and ooze all over the frame.

I would remove it so it can be sand blasted behind the bracket too. Bolt back together with some grade 8 bolts AFTER powder coating.

should be able to pick that apart with a thin flat head and pull it out in little pieces... no need to try and burn it out... that just takes to long and stink like hell... besides, a good powder coat shop wont do it with rubber in the hole anyway

I just had my frame done. Any brackets that are still solidly attached to the frame with factory rivets leave them alone. You will never get as tight a fit with bolts as those factory rivets provide. Now if you can wiggle the brackets replace them. Bushings will all need to be removed.
