Re: replacing rivets with bolts

Years ago I did some work on a Model A frame and cross member. I used a Chrysler wheel bolt with the dish in the head and welded it on to the end of a rivet snap. After heating the rivet red it did a really nice job of rounding the end.

But if I ever had to do one again I'd use the bolts.
