Just need to get one of them three speed floor shifters
Ive got a trans out in the shop with a hurst mystery shifter its a pretty tight H pattern Reverse is at the top and to the left then first is straight down then 2nd and 2rd are to the right 2nd is up and 3rd is down Pretty snazzy compared to the old sloppy colum shifters. |

Rebush your column shift linkage (like 5-10 bucks tops) before converting to floor. You likely won't want to convert after you're done.

I converted my 3 on the tree to the floor with a hurst shifter. i loved it, could shift soo much faster with it.... but then again i bent my column linkage so that didn't shift easly. I would go to the floor but thats just me. and to answer your question it is not hard at all to convert. you mount all the brackets to the transmission and then mark a spot for the shifter to come through the hall and then cut it out. just take your time and it will be easy.

depends on what you are looking for, the floor shifters like these guys have said work well. my fav are the lokar shifters, they make one that looks exactly like the stock standard trany shifter. i fooled many people with mine, works well, and very well made.
