How did you find this site?
I have always wondered how did you find this site. I found this site by accident when I was looking for a mid 50's truck via the internet.. By reading the various forums I became more aware of the 67-72 trucks. Thus I ended up purchasing a 1970 BB402 C10

Re: How did you find this site?
About 10 years ago I lost an eBay auction on some OEM exhaust manifolds and OEM air cleaner for my truck at the time. I emailed the guy and asked if he had any more OEM parts. He said no, but sent me a link and turned me on to this board.

Google search.
I figured a forum was the best way for me to learn about fixing my truck. |

Re: How did you find this site?
Well back in the 90's (that's 1990's for you youngsters) there where two site when you searched Altavista or whatever existed before Google. LOL
Both sites were thread based but Josh's layout seemed more logical. Thus, I stuck around. I remember when he announced we'd be changing over to Vbullitin and everyone was concerned. Crazy to recall. |

Re: How did you find this site?
I guess I first got on the computer looking up websites I saw in Hemmings Motor News listings to look for trucks and parts. I saw these things called "Links", clicked on them, and started finding my way around the internet. I think this was a link on www.vintagechevytrucks.com or www.fillingstation.com . I kept looking more and more, then finally signed-up to answer an unanswered question

Re: How did you find this site?
I have been and still am on a similar forum for Toyota Land Cruisers(ih8mud) as I have restored several FJ40s. Got the urge to get back to my roots. My first new truck was a 68 Chevy and that body style always turned my head. I saw this 69CST 10 and I just had to have it. Went on google and typed in 67-72 Chevy forum and this sight popped up. My gain.

Re: How did you find this site?
Because everything I googled for our trucks came back to this site. I was like well this is the place! And damn it's a wealth of knowledge. I'm the type of guy who whenever I get into a new hobby I end up knowing all about it. This site provides countless hours of reading and whenever a question arises 99% of the time you can figure it out by searching here. It's only when you don't know the terminology that makes it hard to find. I love this site!

Re: How did you find this site?
I joined back in '07 right after I got my 1972 GMC. I found it via a Google search. I didn't make my first post for almost 3 years.

Re: How did you find this site?
I've always been a big forum guy. When I decided it was time to buy I truck I just googled "c10 forum" this one and the other one popped up. Definitely liked this one better than other even though I'm member over there as well, just don't ever post.

Turned on the computer, typed in 70 GMC truck. A big hole opened up and here I am. Man, that was a long time ago.

Re: How did you find this site?
Found it when I was stationed in Kandahar Afghanistan trying to look up some parts for a '69 GMC Longhorn I once owned. Ended up buying a non-original 396 lwb C-10 that needed some attention, but got for a good price.
That C-10 is almost in running condition thank to this site and all the good information available here for us that are in need of information.

Remember those days before Google, before Al Gore invented the internet? One would go to altavista, type in what you wanted then add "and not sex and not resume". You could also type in something like double-u-double-u-double-u.carparts.com and get to a website selling car parts and not a bunch of pictures of naked ladies. But sadly, like affordable health care those days are long gone.
