71 Ochre parts truck

or at least my wifes interpretation of one of my parts trucks. I thought y'all might like it. Do you? Of course I'm biased because I am married to her and she is pretty serious about her art.

Re: 71 Ochre parts truck

I don't know about that, she teaches art at a nearby school.Although she has done some work for others like she just did a picture of a persons lake house. It was a beautiful water color. These panels she did on masonite with knives. Jim

Re: 71 Ochre parts truck

That's the look I'm after on my build. It's not Masonite, but could I commission her to use her knives on that? She's very talented.

I can appreciate how she captured the 'character' that multiple mirror mount holes give a door. They tell a story of the truck's life.

That's pretty awesome. My wife is an artist as well though she illustrates children's books. She would probably never do anything automotive lol.

Re: 71 Ochre parts truck

I just showed her this post and where it asks if she could do pics of members trucks she said"that I can do". She ask asked did you say anything about the holes on the door? She was impressed that the mirror holes were pointed or picked out. I figured we would all notice that cause most of our harder lived truck all has had many types of mirrors. Jim

Re: 71 Ochre parts truck

Tell your wife we are "very impressed" with her skills. I would love to have one done with Homer in the state he was in when I first got him. To remember.

I could always have a picture made and blown up by I really dig the way she throws character into that canvas with the knives.

I have always told people (whoever would listen) that my car building is my
"creative artistic outlet or medium if you will".
Wish I could do what your wife does, but can't. I draw a horse and it looks like a cross between a pig and a dog. Not good.

That beautiful! I never got into art, never really made sense to me, but I love those! If she ever decides to do some for members I would be on that list in a heartbeat! Tell her to keep it up.

Re: 71 Ochre parts truck

Yes BOOG, they are called Pallet Knives and she paints with them sometimes.
Wayne if you [or anybody else] wants a pic done she said she would, just need to know about how big your thinking and then she and you could get together. Jim

yes I do want one made if she can fit it in her schedule. Probably about 11" X 18" or so. Whatever.
Send me a PM and we can discuss price. I love that style of work.
