90/91 gauge cluster connector pin locations

Does anyone have a copy of or link to the 90/91 gauge cluster pin locations? I've tried searching and can only find it for the trucks up to 87. I'm replacing the idiot lights in my 86 truck with an elec cluster from a 90 with gauges while I'm doing the LS swap. Thanks

Re: 90/91 gauge cluster connector pin locations

Okay, I finally found this http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...t=burb+cluster 3rd post down.

I had 3 wires from the '86 plug that were not used. A solid black ground that went to pin #15, a dark green that went to pin #4, and dark brown that went to pin #6.

Is the wiring for the 89 and 91 the same?

No, they are different. I converted my 89 to a 91 cluster and had to re-pin the connector. Not hard to do, just have to pay attention.

In this thread should be some pics and a write-up. Let me know if it doesn't work. I did a Pin layout spreadsheet for the switch....
