Door adjustment need help on 1948

Did everything I can and latch still hits striker plate, raised hinges up as far as I could. I noticed when I got the pickup the striker plate was already damaged from latch hitting it so bought new striker and latch. I'm thinking I need new hinges other door is fine. Thanks for any help. What's everyones thoughts ?

Usually it's best to have your hinges rebuilt before trying to dial them in. But once they are rebuilt. You can grind on the inside of the holes of the hinge's both sides cab and door holes of the hinge's which gives you a way to fit the door better. Once all that is done and your happy with the placement of your doors, you can drill small holes in the hinges. 2 on the cab side of each hinge and one in the doors also I put 2 in the stricker. Then I put small finished nails in the holes which fit perfectly. Then there's no guessing where the hinges or the doors go after final assembly.
You can have your hinges rebuilt from Jerry at Dr. j's restoration in Oregon

Can you post some photos?

Is the door even with the body line on the front? Remember, these trucks didn't fit very well at all from the factory so to get a "bestest" fit is about all you can expect. But the line across the top of the door should be pretty even at both front and back with the cab, within reason of course. It is NOT going to fit like a new 2015 Tahoe it's just not going to, not even close.

But post some photos, is it tighter at the bottom front than the bottom rear? That means you don't want to go just "up" but move the door back on the lower hinge and/or in at the top hinge to bring the rear of the door up.

Post some photos!
