Front end rebuild Anyone else buy this kit?

Looking to rebuild the front end on my 64 C10. I have priced front end parts individually and I am $400-450 range. I usually use MOOG. My question is this, Has anyone used this front end rebuild kit listed on ebay. Sellers feedback is good.

I have not used the kit but when I did the 66 I was able to get a very good price on all Moog stuff from Amazon. I looked up all the numbers and saved about $150.

I used one from ECE, totally complete and all MOOG parts ( High quality).

Second option, you have to select your truck year and power or manual steering.

The kit on Ebay is all rubber, which is close to original issue. Although I don't think the rubber is as good as it was on the originals.

If you want Moog then you have to step up on price. I am going with Moog, although I'm not exactly sure why.

Every fifty years we have to make this same decision. ha

Re: Front end rebuild Anyone else buy this kit?

I spoke to this very person, and asked where he sourced all the parts from. his response was that because he had a low cost on the components, he couldn't divulge who provided the parts. He wouldn't even confirm if the provider was domestic or imported.

He sells this stuff about an hour away from me. I was planning to buy a kit since it would be better than what I have on my truck now, but I hate the idea of running cheap chinese crap on my truck.

Re: Front end rebuild Anyone else buy this kit?

Well, I think he answered you. It sounds like the cheapest import he could find, which of course would be Chinese. Don't know how well their rubber would hold up.

Summit has good prices on Moog. You can find all the part numbers first on Moog's website, then shop by brand at Summit and put in each part. Sometimes, I have found that if you shop by truck ID, it tends to miss parts, but by Moog part number, it always seems to find them.

A little over $400 vs $260 for Chinese is a very easy choice.

Re: Front end rebuild Anyone else buy this kit?

I am also having the problem of finding good parts but for my 1960, CPP does make a kit for about $320 but I dont know if its any good and I know my front end is usually quite expensive to rebuild.

Good to know. Looks like I will buy MOOG.
Thanks all for the input.

Believe it or not, I've found Moog and other C10 parts on Amazon.com at really good prices.

Well, I decided not to buy the kit in question. I took ACK's recommendation and checked AMAZON. Prices were right. Got every thing coming my way excluding pitman arm. $398.00
I was cool with that.
