New cab-to-frame bushings: how do I rotate my cab?
Finally getting the new cab-to-frame bushings in and my cab needs to rotate clockwise a few degrees. I'll have it up, supported by a wheeled trolley jack on either side. What is the best way for two men to rotate a cab supported in such a way?

some kind of alignment tool or metal rod put through the frame perches from undermneeth into the cab floor and then pulled on accordingly while lowering the cab back down ? Catch my drift ?

A big C clamp! That's the key. Dad came up with the idea today and we screwed that cab right on over. New bushings are in.
Thanks for the help though and see my thread about using a clamp to rotate the cab. We got the driver side rear bushing and bolt in first and then used the clamp on the cab's rail and frame rail. Cab was up on 2 trolley jacks. |
